JOHN LA'CELLA is a noted drummer, teacher, author and performer. He has performed with many artists over the years including Bill Godwin's Ink Spots, The Cavaliers, The McCoy's (Hang on Sloopy), The Bobettes, The Roommates, The Thymes, Eugene Pitt of The Jive Five, Sheps Limelight's ( Daddy's Home), Jimmy Merchant of The Teenagers, The Dubs and many more. John has also done session work on jingles and television shows as well as recordings for several artists including The Ink Spots Live on Stage CD. Other work includes freelance gigs for Hank Lane Orchestras and Steven Scott Orchestras and several years as a club date drummer. John is an in demand drum instructor and has done several drum clinics for both Sam Ash Music and Guitar Center with sponsorship from Pro Mark Drumsticks, Zildjian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Alfred Publishing and Modern Drummer Magazine.He has written a drum instruction book entitled “Multi-Style Drum Technique” which has been praised by Dom Famularo (World Class Drum Educator), Ed Shaughnessy (Johnny Carson Tonight Show Drummer) and Hal Blaine (Phil Spector's Wall of Sound Drummer).
