Jonathan Sanson

Jonathan Sanson is a professional musician with over forty years experience. Playing music from Texas to Maine via California and Alaska with gigs at all points in.” between, he has performed at all types of venues from county fairs to local blues dives, from elegant ballrooms to backyard ballrooms. He is equally at ease with bankers and bikers, politicians and poets. Jonathan can provide the sophisticated background to complement the most prestigious soiree or he can kick out the jams at a wild throw down.

His original music is an amalgam of jazz, blues, r&b, soul, cajun, swamp, zydeco, folk and country with a little Monty Python thrown in for good measure.

Jonathan is an alumni of Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts and a former student of world famous jazz educator Charlie Banacos and industry favorite songwriting teacher Pat Pattison.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
