Kana Miyamoto
Motivated by her deep interest in jazz music, Kana moved to New York in 2014 to pursue a performance degree from the New School’s Program for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She studied with Jamie Baum, Marc Mommas, Armen Donelian, Billy Harper, Steve Caldinas, Vic Julius. She has been performed with Marc Mommas, Armen Donelian.

Given this album's title, the fact that the leader's previous album was titled Harlem Meets Hooghly (self-produced, 2020), and even the song titles on this release, it's not unrealistic to be looking for an Indo-jazz fusion release in the vein of John McLaughlin, Warren Senders or simakDialog.
