Kawan DeBose

Captivated is usually the mindset of audiences who have experienced the dynamic talents of singer, songwriter, and pianist Kawan DeBose. Having been compared to the likes of legendary artist Donny Hathaway and the soulful John Legend, Kawan has evolved into a Twenty one year old musical prodigy that has electrified the jazz and soul music scene.

Kawan’s professional career began at the early age of eleven years old when he was appointed the musical director of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. He has landed gigs in such elite venues as the Loews Hotel, the Doubletree Hotel, Teasers, and The District. These venues have all assisted in creating a large following by simply wowing audiences every time. His clientele includes Blue Area Entertainment, the City of Miami Parks and Recreation, the City of Lauderhill, Broward Community College, and a host of others.

Kawan has recorded with soul legend Ben E. King, has opened for Atlantic recording artist Pretty Ricky, and has performed along side the legendary Ms. Patti Labelle. This is why it is no surprise to learn that Kawan's talent has been revered and awarded by such organizations as the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts and Berklee College of Music (World Tour Scholarship).

An avid humanitarian, Kawan often volunteers his time to perform for charitable causes such as AIDS and cancer research.

Whether performing for five or five thousand people, Kawan’s silky tenor and remarkable stage presence will leave you breathless and in eager anticip

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
