Ko Omura is a deep musical thinker. He knows the value of
tradition but also knows the importance of finding oneʼs own
voice within that tradition. His debut CD is a wonderful
introduction to this young drummer/composerʼs very
personal, creative musical universe. --Mike Nock
The first thing that strikes you when listening to Ko's new
recording is his dedication to sound. You can hear how deeply
these players are listening and how devoted they are to pure
musicality. This record speaks to todays trying times with a
melancholy but positive statement of creativity and
craftsmanship that is rare to be sure..
