Kris began playing drums at age 6. Influenced by his father Gus Gustofson who was a professional Jazz drummer and worked for Woody Herman, Dizzy Gillespie, Brew Moore, Harry James and Bobby Darin ( Played drums on “Mack The Knife” and “ Beyond the Sea”) Kris played in all the school bands and gained experience at school concerts. His first paying job was when he was 14 years old. Kris has gigged with Vernon Alley, Chuck Travis, Don Prell, Don Pender, John Coppobianco, Max Borjon, Vince Ctellis, Jon Handy, Clyde Williamson, Bill Perkins, And many others.
