Lee Ferris
Performed for audiences across the world in styles ranging from jazz to folk to classical vocal repetoire at venues including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the St. Nikolai Church in Prague, Czech Republic.
Ferris has an amazingly huge and unique singing voice. His songs are whimsical and profound. They play with the english language like a Harlem Globetrotter plays with the ball on a fastbreak. Lee is an acrobat of song. His songs fly us through multiple rings of fire, spin us as we ascend to the trapeze, drop us down to ride upon the elephant’s back, only to ultimately wedge us between the tack strings of the organgrinder. Story songs, gypsy-jazz grooves, hip hop driven blues tunes, and a whole mess of cosmic lyrics to send your head a reelin'.
His debut solo album, Introducing Lee Ferris (2006) featured Lee Ferris(guitars and vocals), Christian Nesmith(additional guitars), Christopher Allis(drums), John Classick(Upright Bass), Cameron Stone(cello), Circe Link(vocals), Sarah Scweppe(vocals), Yael Prizant(vocals).
In early 2008 the multi-talented singer-songwriter, formed a duo along vocalist Bianca Ferrari Caruso. They began touring taking the stage together with their exciting, original project -- Freddy & Francine
Drawing on influences from musical icons that include Aretha Franklin and The Fleetwoods and modern day indie pop stars Feist and Yael Naim, Freddy & Francine created a dazzling combination of retro panache and up-to-date jaw dropping vocal harmonies.
Freddy & Francine began with the successful tour in Austin, TX promoting their new self-titled, Freddy & Francine EP and brought the team back to Southern California playing the famed Jazz Bakery.
Both have performed in many musical projects over the past five years including the award winning Los Angeles production of HAIR.
