Lena Chantel

Lena Chantel allures with her royal dulcet vocals and in-depth musicianship to the cadence of Afro-Caribbean Jazz Funk, modern with it's Reggae tinge. The songstress' music is easy on the ears with ad infinitum listening pleasure. Lena is a multi-faceted artisan, chanteuse, songwriter, composer, arranger, and producer. She was raised an only child by her mother in middle-class Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, moreover God and the arts have always been rooted fibers in her life. Lena's angelic voice has been noted by teachers since the age of six. The artiste has been composing music by ear, writing lyrics and short stories as early as age four.

An array of musical instruments were played by the emerging artist from elementary school throughout her college days. Lena learned the techniques of violin, flute, piano, and the snare drum for the George Westinghouse High School marching band Drumline. Voice, her principal instrument garnished standing ovations as the lead vocalist for her church's junior choir and regional convocations for the Church Of God In Christ. Lena attended Creative and Performing Arts High School for vocals prior to refining her voice at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. There, she studied Jazz Voice and English.

Lena transplanted from Pittsburgh to the Hampton Roads area, then to Orlando. She now resides in Miami, Florida bringing her debut single, Crowned Queen into fruition. The immensely gifted musician's debut single is released under the Go Get 'Em Records of Miami indie label, as well as her new indie label, Impératrice Jazz. The Remix/Extended Version was released on New Year's Day. Crowned Queen is an inspiring piece that applies to all women conveying hope and perseverance. The mellifluous tune pays homage highlighting elements of the Motherland, the cradle of civilization. Crowned Queen's Afro-Caribe Reggae beat is tempered with an undaunted bassline and jazzy rhythm keeping the atmosphere lively, furthermore carrying one's focus. Lena Chantel's satin brimming vocals are very reassuring. A jewel- laden jazz fusion production well received with three and a half months of heavy promotional rotation on Hits 93 Toronto FM. The station also streams live worldwide. Star Percussionist, Brother Daniel Ben Zebulon also contributed. Lena vows an obligation to bring forth cognizant lyrics blended with exquisite compositions influenced by life's joys, perils, and her multi- cultural ethnicity.
