Born in San Antonio, Tx, spent most of childhood surrounded by family and friends. Around the age of 9, started attending a local southern-gospel church and was exposed to great musicians in the church band, and that was the beginning of a love affair with music. Moved to Puget Sound area in WA in 1999 and lied to the elementary music teacher about playing trumpet just to make music. Shortly after picking up the trumpet, the position of assistant principle was offered to him in a local band, and upon accepting it, was fortunate enough to play under the direction of the great Paul Bain. Playing opportunities opened along with learning opportunities, and while developing in my early musical years, I was fortunate to have played along side giants and masters of music
