Lindy Huppertsberg "Lady Bass"

EuropeÂ's most famous female bassplayer started her career with GermanyÂ's well‐known Barrelhouse Jazzband from 1979‐89. At the same time she studied and finished with the state examination at the university of music in Mainz/Germany. In 1987 she formed her own German‐American quartet and added in 1994 the sensational mainstream‐band The Swinging Ladies with four female top soloists from the US and herself. In 2002 she added a German‐based all‐female band, combined with the talented trumpet player and vocalist Stacy Rowles from L.A., the daughter of the unforgettable Jimmy Rowles. Lindy Huppertsberg & WitchCraft is nowadays the most successful female Mainstream‐ and Bebopband in all of Europe.
