Loide serves up straight ahead jazz coated with lush bossa rhythms - an exquisite blend reflective of her own eclectic roots. She cites Sarah Vaughn, Cesaria Evora and Miriam Makeba as some of her greatest musical influences, but it is her Guinea Bissau and Mozambican heritage that has provided her with a fresh musical perspective, a unique sound, and her native tongue, Portuguese. Loide performs with a jazz trio.
