Album Description

Guitar duos don't get formed too often but with their new release, Maciek Pysz and Gianluca Corona have proved that the duo format is alive and kicking! There have been few albums of two acoustic guitars since Ralph Towner and John Abercrombie's duo albums and with 'London Stories', the duo continues this tradition. Clearly inspired by the great guitar trio albums of John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia as well as duos such as Bireli Lagrene and Sylvain Luc, Pysz and Corona have created a strong musical statement following in the footsteps of their famous predecessors. Most of the music was composed in and inspired by London. The music is fresh and melodic but also technically challenging and with extended harmony.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
