Louis Navarro

Louis Navarro started to play the double bass at the age of fourteen. In 2009, he started studying at the Music Conservatory in Montauban (France) were he was awarded First Prize in classical music and another prize in Jazz music. His conservatory years gave him the opportunity to be the student of French bassist Daniel Massard, former member of the Orchestre National du Capitole of Toulouse (France), currently considered one of the best symphonic orchestras in the world. Additionally he has studied with jazz legends such as Hein Van de Geyn, Larry Grenadier, Peter Washington, and Pierre Boussaguet.

Navarro then moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands) where he studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam for two years before moving for a few months to New York City (USA) in 2016 and Berlin (Germany) in 2017. Louis is now playing in different projects, including Amaury Faye Trio, O.w.A.L and Liya Grigoryan, and is touring and performing all around Europe with different projects, playing with musicians like Ari Hoenig, Matt Brewer, Arthur Hnatek (Tigran Hamasyan), Harmen Fraanje, and Jean-Charles Richard (Dave Liebman).
