Machrijam, guitar, with effects & overdubbing. Drum-machine.
This is my debut collection of my various adventures on the fretboard, tunes which are simply drawn from extensive listening to artists like John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell, Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Rory Gallagher, John Scofield, you name it. Of course, whatever I do is my own very small echo of what they have created, yet I do what I do not as in imitation, but merely as a natural consequence of doing something after being impressed by something amazing. And it is all just moi, solo, with a little help from my MTR, oh, and a friend who does the solo on the very last track. I believe these little tracks each contain musical moments or events, otherwise I wouldn't inflict them on the world. See the album on my jazz website, here: https://jimsgarage007.weebly.com/machrijam-cd.html It might be noted that Track 3. is dedicated to Larry Coryell. And, later, after listening to it, Larry praised it. He called it 'spirited', 'fresh, incisive', concluding this: 'The "Blues" spirit is firmly ensconced in your soul.' These words are my treasure. I was fortunate to meet the man, and even correspond with him for a while. I miss him. He was a genius and he lives on in his radically beautiful music.
