Machrijazz is a project of solo guitar, mostly overdubbed. Melody is to the fore. The songs are organic, but structured and tight. This is the follow-up to the 2015 debut. This album suggests a deeper engagement with the instrument, because it relies only on guitar. The rhythm and backbeat and bass and the soloing, all provided by only guitar. No special effects. Yet, there is the buzz that comes from listening to duets or trios, because each song is alive. If you love guitar, if you would like to hear melodies on guitar which are uncluttered, and fresh, then this album may be something you'd like. It comes from a lifetime of listening to the greats. It is a humble offering, but one infused with a deep love for music and jazz and blues in particular. Yes, blues is the lining of this jazz. All the music on this album is original. And, very definitely, from the heart. Twelve guitar 'songs'.
