Mark Pressey

Nationally acclaimed, multi-talented Mark Pressey intertwines undeniable stage presence and extraordinary vocal abilities with nearly every genre of music. He is a brilliant songwriter, composer, arranger, lyricist, entertainer and arguably one of Denver's most sought-after pianists and vocalists. Mark plays blues, jazz, classical, popular standards, and Broadway show tunes at renowned venues and private parties across the country.

Over the years, Mark has generated numerous local and national accolades. Penny Parker, columnist for the Rocky Mountain News, called Pressey a top ivory tickler, and Zagat Survey, in its United States Top Nightlife guide, hailed Pressey as a crooner who gets patrons humming with show tunes and hits by Elvis, Sinatra, Jimmy Buffet, and others. Colorado AvidGolfer magazine called Mark a pianist/vocalist extraordinaire and Sunset magazine wrote that his voice is stellar, his hands extraordinary, and with a songbook of over 5,000 titles, just try stumping him.

In 1994, Mark formed the Mark Pressey Trio, a brilliant jazz act that plays all over Denver. In 2000, the Mark Pressey Trio became MP3 with the release of Mark's first CD, Ciao Vino. In 2004, Mark released another CD, titled Music at Mel's, a selection of 15 tunes dedicated to the regulars at Mel's Bar and Grill, where Mark played for five years. In 2006, Mark released "Ain't it Grand," a compilation of some his favorite solo piano tunes. Mark and his band play weddings, private parties, corporate events and club gigs, while Mark continues to also play solo. Mark has built a sterling reputation in Denver as a premier entertainer, vocalist and pianist.
