Mark Williams Mark Williams

Mark Williams has over 40 years' professional experience as a guitarist, teacher, recording artist and composer, and it's demonstrated on every performance. Career highlights include live radio broadcasts from Los Angeles and concert performances with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, as well as extensive work in night clubs, for fashion shows and wedding ceremonies throughout Ohio. Mark currently appears regularly at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club and the John Glenn International Airport.

Mark performs as a soloist on the 7 string electric-acoustic guitar custom built by legendary guitar maker J Thomas Davis. The tones of the instrument extend well into the bass range. Booking Mark for your event is like hiring both a guitarist and a bass player for the price of one! Be sure to check out the music videos of BREEZIN, AND I LOVE HER and Michelle on this site to hear Mark on this remarkable and unique musical instrument!

Mark was featured on 6 and 7 string guitars as well as an arranger on saxophone legend Chuz Alfred's recording A COLLECTION OF JAZZ FAVORITES FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART, of which over 16,000 units were sold.

Long considered Central Ohio's finest solo guitarist, Mark Williams creates the perfect musical environment for all occasions!

JUST JAZZ GUITAR Magazine called his most recent 7 string solo guitar recording “A real gem”. THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH wrote his music “swings from crisp bluesy numbers to nimble jazz workouts”. Fritz the Nite Owl noted his “moving, thought- provoking, mood-inducing music - played superbly, with a gentle swing throughout.” JAZZ IMPROV Magazine wrote “Mark's jazz playing stands out...he far exceeds expectations in his treatment of chord-melody”. THE LONG BEACH (California) SEABREEZE noted “Mark Williams adds a unique, soft ambiance.”

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
