Martien Oster
After his studies in the US. and in the course of 35 years, Martien performed and recorded with a variety of outstanding Jazz players including Monty Alexander, Diana Krall (her first record) and Dr. Lonnie Smith (‘You’re Bad’) to name a few.
Recently he finished a tour with Fusion-pioneer and fellow guitarist Larry Coryell who describes Martien’s playing as ‘intelligent and soulful’.
Next year (2017) there will be a European tour with Hammond-great Mike LeDonne in spring and another (75th Anniversary) tour with Larry Coryell in the fall.
Martien’s style is clearly rooted in the Jazz tradition but at the same time he is always looking for adventure!
