Martina Fišerová was born into a family of jazz musicians. Her music education started at the age of six with regular classical piano lessons. In 2003 she was accepted to study classical and jazz piano at the Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague. In the meantime, she has taught herself how to play the guitar. In the beginning of 2002 she started to take private voice lessons with undoubtedly best Czech vocal coach, Hana Peckova. From 2002 to 2004 she participated in the Frydlant jazz workshop, where her coaches were big names of the Scottish jazz scene (Fionna Duncan, Sophie Bancroft, Sue McCreeth).
