Masayasu Tzboguchi is one of the foremost keyboardists in Japan today, creating groove-based electro-jazz which appeals to jazz fans and club-goers alike. Based in Tokyo, he is well-known as the leader of Tokyo Zawinul Bach, a unique electro-jazz unit which integrates the algorithmic sequencing software M in compositions and performances. Tokyo Zawinul Bach has garnered praises from around the world, including from the late Joe Zawinul himself who once invited Tzboguchi to play at Joe Zawinul's Birdland in Vienna (that performance was never realized, unfortunately)
