Matt Page

Reliable and versatile, Matt brings something fresh to the table every time he takes the bandstand. Matt's approach to jazz drumming seems most influenced by the swinging tradition of those like Ed Thigpin, Mel Lewis and mentor Jeff Hamilton however, there is no doubt Matt possesses a sound all his own. In 2005, Matt graduated from Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. While studying in the Los Angeles area, Matt had many opportunities to learn from and perform with some of the best musicians in jazz music today. Since returning to Seattle, Matt's personable, kind demeanor has led to his demand as a contributor to the local jazz scene, as well as an educator within community schools. Most recently, Matt has been working as a sideman for various Seattle based groups including The Steve Alboucq Quartet, the Chris Morton Trio and the Reuel Lubag Trio.
