Maxine Carol Martin

Clarinetist and Tenor Saxophonist Maxine Carol Martin is a Hartford, CT. resident. Her album “Fragments And Colors Of Me” has a variety of music with jazz, r& b, and Latin influences. Most of the compositions are originals—some are instrumentals and others are songs that she sings on, along with her clarinet and saxophone playing. She's joined by pianist Warren Byrd, guitarist Sinan Bakir, bassist Matt Dwonszyk, and drummer Cemre Dogan. She has performed with them occasionally at several venues throughout Connecticut and with other musicians such as: percussionist Abu Alvin Carter, Sr., banjoist and guitarist Jim Mercik, singers Margaux Hayes and Nicki Mathis, drummer Michael Augeri, and bassist Paul Fuller.
