Michael Chance

I have recently graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 1st class degree in Popular Music, Media and Communication Studies. My specialist area of study was avant-garde film-maker Peter Greenaway. I am currently looking for opportunities within the fields of illustration, design, photography and film-making.

My passions lie in art and music, so whether I'm creating it, looking at it, listening to it, writing about it, visiting it, talking about it or thinking about it, I'm happy. My ambition is to be in a position where I can synthesise my broad range of interests to create work that is aesthetically satisying (not necessarily pleasing) and intellectually stimulating; work which challenges the status quo in a meaningful way, without disappearing up its own arse.

As well as working in visual arts, I play drums in experimental two-piece Polka Tulkk.
