Born in Marshall, Missouri 1943, moved to San Francisco, California in 1965.

Mike Henderson Blues Band has performed all the major music venues in the Bay Area and opened shows for and performed with many great blues artists such as

Albert Collins, Big Joe Turner, Bo Diddley , Bobby Blue Bland, Albert King, Elvin Bishop, Esther Phelps, Freddy King, James Cotton, Jimmy Dawkins, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Shines, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, Katie Webster, Lightnin Hopkins, Luther Tucker, Magic Sam, Mike Bloomfield, Taj Mahal, Willie Dixon and many more.

Three appearances at the Sacramento Blues Festival.

Two appearances Festival of the Arts at the Lake,Oakland.

Three appearances at the San Francisco Blues Festival.

Performed at Monterey Jazz Festival with Albert Collins and Sunnyland Slim.

Bob James Jazz Festival Marshall Missouri.

History of the blues according to Mike Henderson, performed at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Sacramento Museum Fine Arts. Tours Switzerland 12 times, Germany 2 times, Austria 2 times, Finland 1 time, Italy 3 times.
