“The music shouts its strengths for all to hear: engaging original compositions, interesting textural meshes of acoustic and electronic and fine playing from pianist White and a cast including Phil Slater and Dale Barlow.“ John Shand - Sydney Morning Herald

"More rewarding is Rodric White’s New Jazz Directions (another worthy La Brava release) ... there’s no doubting the power, persuasiveness and imagination of the music it features. White’s piano is full of energy and ties all the different elements of this modern bop up with consummate intelligence and delicacy. Mark Taylor’s saxophone work is also note worthy, while the whole band really zings along. Exceptionally rewarding stuff." Craig Pearce - Drum Media
