Joe Abba

Joe Abba was born in the Bronx, NY and grew up in Wappinger Falls. He began playing drums in school in the fourth grade and studied privately with countless drummers and percussionists, including John Riley, Tony Moreno, Adam Nussbaum, Ed Shaughnessy, Jim Petercsak, Rick Barbour, Joe Morello, and others.

With a B.M. in Music Education (Crane School of Music) and an M.A. in Jazz Performance (New York University), Joe has paved his musical path with musicians of all styles of music for years. He has performed on national and international TV performances, including, MTV's Spring Break, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Apprentice, famed NYC clubs, and plenty of NYC dive bars.

Performances/Collaborations include: The Bjorkestra, Collider, Jerry Jemmott, The Sean Nowell Quintet, Tommy and CJ Ramone, Travis Sullivan, Donny McCaslin, Jessica Simpson, Coppersonic, Monatomic, Jed Davis, Dennis Mitcheltree, Alexis Cuadrado, Wayne Batchelor, Alan Ferber, Sean Wayland, Nathan Peck, Matt Clohesy, The Poma-Swank, and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
