Martan Mann has been teaching piano for 35 years. He is the past Improvisation Chairman for the Music Teacher's Association of California and has a Master's Degree in Music from San Jose State University, studying under Aiko Onishi. Martan is the author of three currently published books: "Jazz Improvisation for the Classical Pianist"; "New Age Improvisation for the Classical Pianist"; and "Improvising Blues Piano". He also has two videos in conjunction with the Jazz Improv book. Martan frequently travels and lectures on music improvisation and teaches privately out of his home in Boulder Creek, California (near Santa Cruz) - (831) 338-4986
