Supa Lowery Bros.

Trumpeter Christopher Lowery and his brother, drummer Wesley Lowery, make up the heart of the Supa Lowery Bros. Straight out of Philadelphia, with a sound to be reckoned with, this pair is determined to make their name known.

The Supa Lowery Bros. music not only manifests the musical talents and ideas of this awesome duo, but it also mirrors the spirit and influence of their musical hometown Philadelphia. With original compositions that range in style from jazz, hip hop, R&B, there is no other choice than to place them under the genre of good music. Under the influence of their father, a professional drummer, it was inevitable that the two pursue a career as professional musicians.

Their training started with the Tony Williams Youth Jazz & Performing Arts. Later they entered Philadelphia's High School of Creative and Performing Arts, the only school of its kind in Philadelphia dedicated to preparing and developing the skills of those pursuing a career in the arts. After high school, Chris attended Delaware State University where he studied under three time Grammy Award nominee Trumpeter Donald Byrd, also with whom he had the immense opportunity to play with at Amsterdam's renowned jazz festivals. After an early start of playing professionally in the Philadelphia and New York areas at the age of 16, Wes chose to attend Long Island University to pursue a degree in Jazz Studies. After an abbreviated stay at Delaware State, Chris decided to go to New York to complete his bachelor's degree at Long Island University. That marked the beginning of the Supa Lowery Bros. It wasn't long after hearing the music of the two brothers that fellow college schoolmates and talented musicians decided to join in and complete the sound that is today that of the Supa Lowery Bros.

Together they have played numerous venues in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and more. Throughout the band's career they've also had the opportunity to share their talents with the late Grover Washington Jr. and most recently Def Jam recording artist, Musiq Soulchild & R&B singer, Bilal. Trumpeter Chris Lowery has recently toured with Latin pop star Shakira and hip-hop superstar Wyclef Jean. Most recently the SLB have independently released self titled albums, Supa Lowery Bros. Volumes 1 & 2, of which they've successfully sold over 20 thousand copies. Sales of their albums continue to grow as their music charismatically attracts more and more listeners.
