“It’s the thought of Jim Hall that pops up in your mind when you get to listen to a poetic, minimalist and virtuoso guitarist such as Pino Russo, who won (…) the 7th edition of Moncalieri Jazz Incroci Sonori Award, in 2008. You think of Jim Hall, for sure but i guess you also get to think about a refined, sensible and cultured pianist like John Lewis, whose discreetness was his own peculiarity both in his solitary and meditative episodes and in his recordings with the Modern Jazz Quartet. (…) allows u sto get to know a musician who owns uncommon technical skills and a jazz feel so deep and clever it implies necessarily a long live experience (not only in solo) on the Jazz scene”.
