Jason Miele

Baritone Saxophonist Jason Miele, is a native of Boston Ma. and a steady performer on the New England music scene for over 10 years. After picking up the baritone sax at the age of 12, Jason made quick progress towards mastering his instrument and was soon playing with some of the regions best jazz musicians. After highschool, Jason was awarded a scholarship to the New School Jazz and Contemporary Music Program in NYC, where he studied and performed with artists such as Garry Smulyan, Chico Hamilton, George Garzone and Reggie Workman. After three years in NYC Jason transferred to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was awarded a full scholarship. While at Berklee Jason studied with such great artists as Dino Govoni, Joe Lovano, Hal Crook and Bill Pierce. Jason now resides in the greater Boston area where he performs regularly, teaches privately and practices woodwind repair.
