Brian Girley
While going to school at UNT he began his career as a performer working back in forth between Orlando and the DFW metroplex. Brian has played or shared the stage with performers and legends like B.B King, Galdys Knight, Sam Rivers, John Fedchock, Lynn Seaton, Tommy Campbell, Ambrose Akinmusire,Taylor Eigsti, Quamon Fowler, Adonis Rose, Jason Marsalis. Brian has performed at all over the world. He has toured in Tokyo, Shanghai, Hongkong, Toronto, Dallas, Orlando, Miami and in festivals such as the Deep Ellum Jazz Festival, Disney Magic Music Days, North Texas Jazz Festival, Denton Jazz and Arts and the Sanger Wine and Music festival. As an educator Brian has worked as a clinician at high schools in Florida. At the college level Brian has assisted in the teaching of classes and was named the director of the 9 O'clock Lab band. Brian recently moved to New York where has already become an active and sought out musician. He is currently working on his debut CD that he plans to release in the fall of 2011.
