Many years ago I was planning on being a full time musician, but mid- college, I took a different path and went into advertising and jazz fell by the wayside. After 35 years in the "ad biz" I'm very excited about playing again... it's been a real honor to have been able to jam and gig with some of the areas best players. I'm learning a great deal, shedding everyday and gradually getting my chops back. I'm also working on improving my home recording studio and having too much fun. Starting in January 2012, I've been hosting and leading the house trio at the Hedley Club Jazz Jam in the lounge at the Hotel De Anza in San Jose CA on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, each month. It's an honor and a privilege to be involved with the South Bay jazz community.
You can also catch me at San Jose/South Bay Area clubs and jazz venues a few times each month with Kirk Tamura, Kevan Smedt, Jack Conway, and my own group, the Marley/Pohorski/Burn Trio. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Marley-Pohorski-Burn-Jazz- Trio/1472959569587361?ref=hl&ref_type=bookmark

"Stephen Marley is the new leader of Jazz Jam at the Hedley, held in the Hedley
Club at the Hotel De Anza every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at
7:30pm. The jam—founded by trumpeter John Worley and saxophonist Oscar
Pangilinan and co-presented by San Jose Jazz—has grown into a catalyst for
local jazz players and has become one of the most electric live music scenes in
Silicon Valley. We caught up with Stephen after his first turn at the Hedley on
January 2."
