Aldo Salvent

Aldo Salvent is multiple award winning saxophonist and composer based in Miami, United States. He holds a Master Degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance from Florida International University (FIU). As well, he is a graduate with Summa Cum Laude Mention from National University of Costa Rica (BM), and Amadeo Roldan Conservatory in La Habana, Cuba. While in Cuba, he won the First-Prize in four consecutive times at the National Classical Saxophone Competition (1992-1995).

He studied with the esteemed educators Javier Zalba, Juan Felipe Tartabull, Luis Felipe Fernandez, Carlos Averhoff, as well as private lessons in New York City with Seamus Blake, Rich Perry and Bob Franceschini.

As a saxophonist he has played/toured/thought worlwide in Taiwan, United States, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Canada, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Cuba, Brasil and Argentina, at important Theatres, Jazz Clubs, Universities and Jazz Festival, sharing the stage with Paquito D’ Rivera, Jim Gasior, Josh Quinlan, Alex Terrier, Mike Orta, Jamie Ousley, Nicky Orta, among others.

Mr. Salvent was saxophone professor at the National University of Costa Rica for five years and has been invited as an international jury in several Saxophone International Festivals and Competitions in Mexico, Honduras and Costa Rica.

He is since 2013 a Gonzalez Reeds Performing Artist, and was also the first endorsed saxophone artist in Central America for P.Mauriat Saxophone Company.

Awarded with a Teaching Assistant Full Scholarship, Mr. Salvent moved to the United States in 2013, persuing his Master Degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance at Florida International University with Prof. Gary Campbell.

On August 2014 he recorded his first solo album “Da Capo” as a leader on Dazzle Recordings Label in Denver-Colorado, receiving very positive reviews from “All About Jazz” Magazine and “El Nuevo Herald” newspaper after the official release in January 2015. “Da Capo” is available in Itunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
