Paul Gormley

Bassist Paul Gormley is a native of Southern California, now residing in Sarasota Florida. He is a second generation bassist. He has 4 CD’s in current release. He has performed or recorded with a wide variety of artists including singers Joe Williams, Anita O’Day, Bill Henderson, The HiLo’s, Herb Jeffries, Michael Feinstein, Eartha Kitt, Cab Callaway, Vic Damone, Bobby Darin, and Barbara Cook. Instrumentalists Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Blue Mitchell, Vido Musso, Dick Hyman, Jimmy Rowles, Ross Tompkins, Tamir Hendleman, Mundell Lowe, Lenny Breau, Bob Bain, Bruce Forman, Larry Koonse, Conte and Pete Candoli, Jack Sheldon, Warne Marsh, Paul Smith, the Bill Berry LA Big Band, Capp/Pierce Juggernaut big band, Woody Herman, Les Brown, Percy Faith, Ray Conniff, and Billy Vaughn Orchestra’s. Paul has been a Sweet and Hot Jazz Festival all star 11 times, and was bassist for an all-star band commemorating the 80th Birthday of the King of Thailand.
