Paul Tynan

Canadian trumpet player/composer Paul Tynan is presently an Assistant Professor of music at St. Francis Xavier University where he teaches trumpet, arranging and directs ensembles. He holds degrees from The University of North Texas, and SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music.

Paul has recorded on thirty-eight albums including three as a leader (Digital/ Spiritual, NJPT and Freedom and Jealousy all on NohJoh Music). His fourth album “Radio Infrequency” featuring Dave Restivo and Noel Johnston is scheduled for release on NohJoh Music in late Fall 2006. While attending the University of North Texas he was a member of the Grammy Nominated One O'Clock Lab Band
