Per Olav Kobberstad

Per Olav Kobberstad is a Norwegian guitarist and composer, and one of the few in the world playing 8-string acoustic guitar. After starting to learn popular music and rock at the age of 10, Per eventually got more interested in genres like jazz, latin, and world music, and is today performing and recording internationally.

He studied music at several Norwegian schools and faculties, such as Trøndertun FHS, Nordic Institute For Stage And Studio, and the University of Agder, where he graduated in 2013. Per also traveled to Brasil to study with some of the greatest guitarists in Brasil and Argentina, and in 2014, Per released his first album as a solo artist, "Os Rios, As Ligações". And the same year he released the album "At the Corner of Kongens", together with the Bosnian accordionist Milos Zec.
