PETER DOIRON

Peter studied and focused on music from a very early age. He played in his middle school and high school bands fine-tuning the required rudimentary skills needed for success at the college level and as a professional percussionist. Peter then studied at Berklee College of Music with a focus on jazz drum set skills and jazz music theory, and also studied at The Boston Conservatory of Music with an expanded focus on timpani & mallet instruments. Peter played professionally for many years within many music genres and later returned to school to fulfill additional academic goals. He completed a B.A. in Philosophy graduating with honors, and again returned to school several years later completing a course of study to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA).

In addition to Peter’s professional career, he is currently the Executive Director of the “Ocean State Pops Orchestra” where he is also Timpanist / Principal Percussionist. Equally skilled as a sacred musician, he continues to serve in the music ministry at St. Joan of Arc Church in Cumberland, a role he has held since 2009.
