Phonograph Team Project Phonograph Team Project

“Phonograph Team Project” begun as a collaboration between Guitarist David Wright (California, US), Drummer Tommaso Monopoli (Rome, Italy) and Pianist Gianluca Grasso (Italy) who initially met on the musical social networking site for musicians, Kompoz (http://www.kompoz.com). They were later joined by Bassist Rob Glass (Vancouver BC, Canada) to round out the quartet and by Don Kennedy (Fayetteville Arkansas, US) who contributed all audio engineering.

Their Debut recording “3 Steps to 4” is a unique CD recording project created entirely online utilizing cloud technology and social networking tools. Written, created and recorded online between March 2014 and March 2015, this instrumental release features 7 original compositions in the “Organic Contemporary Jazz” vein, for lack of a better description, and should be appreciated by those who enjoy Steps Ahead, The Pat Metheny Band and The Yellow Jackets among others.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
