Pier Luigi Salami Pier Luigi Salami

Born in 1987, Italian pianist Pier Luigi Salami first put his hands on the piano when he was six years old: it was love at first sight.

His huge driving passion for music led him to early success and recognition among his peers and teachers.

Growing up as a self taught musician he had the opportunity to develop his own musical style and soul, characterized by strong energy and transparent communication.

At the age of 14 he discovered his inner passion for Jazz: that passion revealed to be a positive commitment that continuously pushes Pier Luigi into finding new paths and abating boundaries.

From his High School days to the present, Pier Luigi has been actively performing and recording, appearing in numerous concerts, festivals, public and private ceremonies, both as a solo act or as a member of various groups.

In 2007 he received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, from where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2010.

Since traveling to the USA, P.L. has been collaborating with several talented musicians from all around the world, working as an in-demand pianist/accordionist, writer and producer.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
