Christopher David Boulet

As a young man Chris spent many hours in a Jazz Club named the Jazz Oasis in Milwaukee,Wisconsin...it was owned by saxophonist Chuck Lapaglia the father of Chris' best Friend Chris Lapaglia.....after many years of pop music songwriting....Chris still hasn't lost touch with those early encounters with Improvisation....in 1999 he recorded 12 hours of improvisation for an album named "Monkey With A Thumb"...Willie Oteri coincidentally was making an album of improvisation in America at the same time....when they met...it was only a matter of time before there was fireworks...in 2002...they did 14 a 14 hour nonstop improvisation...followed by 33 and a third....the first in the "RPM" concert series...followed by 45 in 2004 (With special guest Tony Levin)and 45 lato b in 2005 With special guest Pat Mastelotto...now Willie Oteri and CHRIS BOULET have a new project named IKM....which is a continuation of their improvisation adventures....which will eventually give fruit to the long awaited....and highly doubted....78 as strange as it may seem...although Chris is responsible for these long improvisations and highly respected in the Jazz community...and considered to be a Jazz musician...he has never been in a jazz band...never played on a jazz album...and never written a jazz composition....however....if the definition of JAZZ is .."Undefinable"....then Chris Boulet...definitely BELONGS in that category.
