Rabih Rihana

Rabih Rihana is a pianist and composer who is well respected by many fellow musicians around the globe and backed with a loyal fan base that stretches from California into eastern Europe. He attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music which is known for having attendees such as Sting, Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Aerosmith, Sarah Mclaughlin, John Mayer, Prince, Dream Theater, Chick Corea , along with many more musical icons. It is at Berklee where Rabih discovered new dimensions in music composition and performance techniques, which helped him create his own unique style, not only as a composer but as a performer as well. While in the Boston, he played and recorded many fusion projects with some of the city's most explosive and exciting musicians . In 2005, he moved to Philadelphia and formed "The Dream Will Come" trio , featuring Kyle Mastropietro on drums and Steve Ambrasio on electric bass . The trio made a lot of noise in the philadelphia jazz-funk-fusion music scene and was described by reviewers and fans to be the next "Return to Forever " because of the sheer energy, musicianship and originality they brought to the table . In 2006, his song Phoenicia won the first prize for “best instrumental rock song” at the New York International songwriting competition. The song was written to describe Lebanon’s constant battle to find its own identity throughout history. Besides being driven by his favorite musical idols, what truly inspires Rabih is his love and appreciation for mother nature. Therefore, many of his compositions seem to give the listener a feeling of disconnection from the material world and the indulgence in a fantasy world where the listener gets to be the director of his own movie or the author of his own story. This is the reason why Rabih’s fan base truly ranges from all different ages, because everyone can relate to his music in a different way. “For me, writing music is a connection to a fantasy world, and is also a simple act of appreciation to god for blessing me with such a gift” – Rabih Rihana
