Rachael Thoms

Vocalist and Singing Voice Specialist Rachael Thoms is one of a new breed of truly versatile hybrid singer, accomplished in both jazz and classical performance. She has released two albums consisting of original compositions and reimagined standards, ‘The Great Unknown’ (2011), and ‘Nothing But Blue Skies’ (2017) and enjoys balancing and developing her portfolio of teaching, research and performing. In 2018 she released her first vocal training resource, VOCAL WARRIOR – BOOTCAMP FOR YOUR VOICE, a collection of warmups and exercises designed to promote balanced, efficient and sustainable singing. Rachael will commence Doctoral research in 2020 and her research interests include vocal pedagogy and the development of hybrid vocal technique and performance.
