"Reza Ryan is one of the most fascinating and most exciting jazz guitar players I've
heard in past 10-15 years.
A monumentally talented young guitarist. He reminds me of an upgraded Phil Miller,
one of my favorite guitarists."
Leonardo Pavkovic, Owner of MoonJune Records, USA.
"Reza is, indeed, a fabulous young player.
I listen to him and hear not only a sensitive, vibrant player still exploring his
instrument and uncovering his voice, but also one who is discovering the process of
letting HIMSELF become the instrument and allowing the music to play him!"
John M. McGuire, Webmaster on MoonJune Records, USA.

“When Reza Ryan decides to step out on guitar, he does not so emphatically but
also opaquely. The emotion built is difficult to define, kinda like a nobel physicist
sipping daquiris while fitting new formula into a gigantic equation he’s working on
for a year. When it’s done, you know it’s magnificent.. You just don’t know what it
is, and he won’t tell you as he grins and closes his eyes, humming.”

"What is particularly striking is the technique of Reza is the unconventional approach
to fusion , having a training prog rock , imported new elements that have
contaminated style , making it a more hybrid rough and passionate"

"Q: What do John McLaughlin, Phil Miller & Jimi Hendrix have in common?
A: They all had a major impact on the style and sounds of Reza Ryan — the young
Indonesian guitar sensation of MoonJune Records' I Know You Well Miss Clara."
John M. McGuire, Webmaster on MoonJune Records, USA.
"Among the new wave of young Indonesian "up-and-comers," Reza Ryan is a huge
talent as both a guitarist and composer. He is the leader of MoonJune Records'
recording artists, I Know You Well Miss Clara — a group whose debut, "Chapter
One," made a big splash in the progressive pool last year. His compositions are very
similar to his guitar-playing style: intuitive, instinctive and spaciously-delivered in
such a manner that the songs — and his notes and phrases — are provided ample
room to breathe. Indeed, there is a rare maturity to both his compositional and
playing styles that belies his age and level of experience. The astute listener will
often find himself harkening back to the early-'70's period, when fusion not only
came into being, but immediately blossomed at the hands of such pioneers as
McLaughlin, Corea and Zawinul. His playing is gracefully understated at times, while
explosive at others, but always firmly intertwined with the magic of the moment at
hand; sensitive, but always playfully exploratory. Reza is a very special artist, and,
like his band, holds a wealth of talent with enormous potential!"
