Ricardo Pinto

Ricardo Pinto is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer born in Portugal in 1990.

In 2013, Ricardo graduated from ESMAE – Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo (Portugal) with a degree in Jazz Piano. He was a student of Abe Rábade (Jazz) and Serghei Covalenco (Classical), among others, and has attended masterclasses with Ben Street, Dan Weiss, Danilo Perez, Rudresh Mahantappa, Jacob Sacks, John Escreet, Ohad Talmor, Pedro Estevan, Robert Lowe, etc.

Since 2005 Ricardo has composed, performed, directed and produced more than forty soundtracks for theatre, mostly with Ensemble – Sociedade de Actores, working with some of the most important artists and venues in the country.

Founder of many musical projects for which he composed in different genres and performed in and out of the country, Ricardo currently plays in Rei BruxoSullenTriedroPinturas Negras, and he’s the live sound engineer for Dullmea.

At present, Ricardo continues developing original repertoire for upcoming releases and live shows with his various bands and projects and working regularly as a composer, performer and producer on commissioned musical/audio productions.
