Ricky E. Anderson

Native Kansas Citian who attended Charlie Parker Memorial Foundation, UMKC Conservatory of Music, Penn Valley Community College, and performed with older musicians to include: Luqman Hamza, Ahmad Alaadeen, David Dahuad Williams, Candace Evans, LC "Speedy" Huggins, Donald Cox, Roy Ayers, and Dr.Nathan Davis. Performed with several groups and bands, travelled regionally, nationally and internationally with local and national artists to include: Joe Cartwright, David Basse, Roy Ayers and others. Currently performs weekly with Greater New Bethel AME Church, Candace Evans, Elder Statesmen of KC Jazz and the Anderson Project. Has weekly music students at Toni Oliver School of Music. Performs annually at Kansas City's 18th & Vine Jazz and Blues Festival (aka) Rhythm & Ribs, and Musicians' Appreciation Dinner at the Blue Room.
