“An artist who is breaking prejudices!” - Glasna “Robert is in a forceful creative swing!” - Odzven

Bassist, composer, arranger and producer Robert Jukič is one of Slovenia's most versatile and fruitful musicians. Starting out on electric bass as a teenager playing in different bands was the beginning of his musical life. Since then he has been playing with various Slovenian and international artists and has been exposed to different styles of music, which also reflects in his records. There are eight records under his name spanning from different styles of jazz to classical and world music, from alternative pop to chanson as well as traditional blues, folk and country music. As a bassist or composer/arranger he is featured on over 50 records with other artists proving his musical range. An eclectic, constantly self-reinventing artist.

Robert has been appearing for a number of years in venues both in Slovenia and beyond (Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Georgia, Croatia, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Morocco, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Great Britain, USA, etc.). A long list of performers and groups he has worked with as an instrumentalist and composer is virtually boundless – in terms of national or musical boundaries alike. His full sound enriched the recordings of many constellations and their conceptions Mario Gonzi, Adrien Mears, Owen Hart JR., Oliver Kent, Flip Phillip, Ed Partyka, Martin Reiter, Renato Chicco, Jonathan Blake, Nicole Henry, Owen Howard, Howard Curtis, Andy Middleton, Femi Temowo, Deborah Brown, Pietro Iodice, Miles Griffith, Danny Grisset, Sheila Cooper, Steve Klink, Jasper Bloom, Stephane Spira, Dusko Goykovich, Daniele d`Agaro, Tony Pancella, Rob Bargad, European Movement Jazz Orchestra, Generations international youth band, Big Band RTV Slovenia, etc...

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
