Robert McKeon

Bob is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was on the road during the late 50's with various groups performing in New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana. While in Grand Rapids, Bob worked holding down the drum chair on a weekly, local TV variety show and formed a quartet with Doug Cook, along with his wife, Margo, as vocalist. Bob and Margo moved to the valley in 2000 and have stayed busy playing with local jazz musicians. Bob gigged with the Treme Brass Band from New Orleans when they were in Phoenix and is currently the drummer with the Sun Lakes Big Band.

Bob has worked with world renowned jazz musicians. Bob was part of the Prescott Jazz Society's 20 year celebration working with Robert Vann, Dimitri Matheny, Charles McPherson, and Sherry Roberson. He leads The Gentlemen of Jazz plus one with Margo as vocalist. The group recently completed a successful 3 1/2 year stint, every Friday and Saturday, at Tommy V's in Old Town Scottsdale.
