Album Description

Azuljauz is a quintet led by Colombian bassist and composer Jonathan Ruiz, who reflects in his arrangements the band´s widespread liking for irregular metrics, the Pacific folklore, and the forefront sounds of New York through his compositions. "Samsara" is an album with simple nature, with musical line and defined theme, executed with great energy from the band while exploring the dynamic range of sounds through unreleased tunes playing with built ostinato based on folk patterns with altered metrics.
