Scott Jones
My contemporary jazz album “Fictional Characters” is released in association with Michael Silverman and Autumn Hill Records.
Featuring myself as composer and guitarist, along with musicians Steve Hunt, (long time keyboardist for the late guitar legend Allan Holdsworth), as well as drummer Archibald Ligonnière and bassist Romain Labaye, (both of whom have been renowned guitarist Scott Henderson’s band* on his recent tours and latest album “People Mover”, *which was just voted Best Jazz Fusion Group by Jazz Times Magazine’s 2020 Reader’s Poll). My project reflects the long arc of classic fusion that has influenced my career. Calling on the gods from the realms of Scofield, Henderson, Corea, I attempt to do so without aping any of them, and hopefully create a fresh take on the genre for both new listeners, and long-time lovers of fusion.

With his latest offering Fictional Characters, guitarist Scott Jones does not shrink from those comparisons; he in fact stands up ...
