The Staines/Tanzi Duo

The Staines/Tanzi duo are a jazz duo featuring Oliver J. Staines (guitar) and Cris Tanzi (vocals). Having both worked as professional musicians for over ten years in a variety of settings and genres they have come together to blend their individual voices into something new in the creative space of the duo setting. You can catch the duo doing gigs in their own right or otherwise being hired to provide a rich setting for private or corporate events. They primarily perform the American Songbook and latin jazz standards but their entertaining performances often also feature treatments of more contemporary and popular pieces. The Staines/Tanzi duo can cater for all kinds of events, from weddings and private parties to providing atmospheric entertainmnet for restaurants and social environments or conferences and corporate functions. If the setting requires they can perform as part of a larger ensemble, as a trio with the addition of talented bass player Alex Scaturro, or even as a jazz quartet. All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
